I Mandorli IGT Toscana “Vigna al Mare” 2016, Italy
£44.50
Intense ruby red colour. Hints of ripe berries, Mediterranean herbs and black pepper on the nose. On the palate, it is dense, material and long-lasting. It is the ideal wine to accompany meat dishes, including game.

CompareAbout the winemaker
Founded in 2002 at the behest of the owner Massimo Pasquetti following the purchase of a few hectares of land in the village of Belvedere Suvereto, in Tuscany, the I Mandorli farm begins its journey with the first Sangiovese and Cabernet vineyards. With great and constant attention to traditional winemaking, nature and the territory, I Mandorli boasts a production that respects the rules of biodynamic agriculture, giving priority to independent growth and naturalness in the cellar. The wines by I Mandorli are products of waiting and patience: no enzymes or yeasts are used, the microclimate of the cellar is exploited; finally, the wine remains in wood for a short time compared to the standards, and then passes into vitrified barrels and continues ageing in the bottle.
