About the winemaker
Château Gombaude Guillot is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, in the French region of Bordeaux. The vineyards have been a family property for six generations, dating back to the 19th century. Nowadays, Château Gombaude Guillot is run by Claire Laval, who started her career as an agronomist, and her son Olivier. No chemical or synthetic herbicides or fungicides are used to grow their vines of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. All grapes are harvested by hand. Claire and her son work biodynamically and the estate was the first one to be certified organic in Pomerol, back in 2000.
