Hello everyone and happy March! This month isn’t just the one where our Valentine’s wishes and promises come true, but also a pretty important moment in the wine production cycle: after the Winter rest (read here why Winter is crucial in the vineyard), the vineyard is waking up and starting the growth process. In March the vines start their so-called “cry”: their awakening is characterised by a clear liquid coming out of the spots where the plants have been pruned.

While the vineyard evocatively “cries”, we can still smile and enjoy some outstanding wines, waiting for nature to take its course. As every month, we selected for you some of our best natural wines at a special price: is there anything better? We doubt it! 😉

Marco De Bartoli Terzavia Metodo Classico 2012 Sicily, Italy

Searching for a refreshing, fruity, interesting alternative to Champagne? Taste the Sicilian way, with this sparkling Terzavia Metodo Classico from the Marco De Bartoli estate and you won’t regret it: this dry vintage sparkling wine is made with lively Grillo variety grapes organically grown in the marvellous 20 ha winery near the famous wine town of Marsala. The special part is not just the growth but the production itself as well, as the grapes are manually selected and fermented by the action of wild yeast and a minimal quantity of sulphites. Before reaching your glass, this wine is aged at least 18 months.
