About the winemaker

Château Ferran is located in the Bordeaux Haut-Benauge appellation, part of the Entre-Deux-Mers zone in the French region of Bordeaux. A family domain since 1976, Château Ferran is run by Julien Ferran, who took over from his father. The estate comprises 38 hectares of vines surrounded by woods. Julien makes red, white and rosé wines. His eight hectares of white grape varieties are divided into 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon and 20% Muscadelle. His 30 hectares of red varieties are made up of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec. Julien has worked biodynamically since 2003 and the domain has been certified organic since 2001.
