About the winemaker

The Azienda Agricola Vitivinicoli Castello di Stefanago is located on the hills of Oltrepo Pavese, near the town of Borgo Priolo in Lombardy, Italy. The estate, run by Antonio and Giacomo Baruffaldi, consists of a medieval castle and 135 hectares of land – cultivated according to the rules of organic farming – with cereals, orchards, gardens, meadows, woods and 20 hectares of vines. The cellars, where the wines are produced and aged, are located inside the castle. Antonio and Giacomo grow white and red grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Renano, Müller-Thurgau, Barbera, Croatina, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Uva Rara, Pinot Noir – and produce delicious red, white and sparkling wines.
