Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Les Chemins d’Avize Grand Cru Extra Brut
£105.75
Elegant and enticing notes of lemon, quince, honey, anise and white flowers. Dry, vibrant and mineral. It’s really hard to do better than this for a so-called ‘entry level’ champagne.

CompareAbout the winemaker
The domain Larmandier-Bernier is located in Vertus, in the French region of Champagne. Sophie and Pierre’s vines – about 15 hectares, 33 years old on average – lie on the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs: Vertus, a premier cru village, Cramant, Chouilly, Oger and Avize, all grand cru villages. The vineyard is planted with 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested manually and indigenous yeasts are used for the fermentation. Sophie and Pierre practice biodynamic viticulture and produce superb and highly acclaimed ‘blanc de blancs’ champagne.
