Roland Pignard Beaujolais-Villages 2014 Beaujolais, France
£19.60
Enticing notes of red and dark fruits, cherries and blackberries, with a slightly spicy finish. Nice depth and structure for a really lovely Beaujolais to drink with a charcuterie and cheese platter.

CompareAbout the winemaker
Roland Pignard’s domain is a small family estate located in Villié-Morgon, in the heart of the Beaujolais region in France. The 4.5 hectares of vines are shared between three appellations: AOC Morgon, AOC Régnié and AOC Beaujolais-Villages; each different from the next thanks to the soil types, aspects and micro-climates. Roland tends his vines of Gamay and crafts his wines organically, using biodynamic techniques. ”Respect for the land, the vines, our health and that of our consumers is crucial to us” says Roland. The domain produces vibrant and juicy red wines and is certified both organic and biodynamic.
