Fabrice Gasnier Vieilles Vignes 2013 Loire, France
£17.80
This wine is made from vineyards that have been part of the domain since Fabrice’s great-grandfather founded it. Elegant aromas of black fruits: cherries and blackberries. Fresh, savoury and broad on the palate with flavours of cherries and blackberries. Round and intense. Drink it now with red meat and cheese or keep it for another decade in a good cellar.

CompareAbout the winemaker
The Domaine Fabrice Gasnier is located in the commune of Cravant-les-Coteaux in the Chinon appellation, in the Loire Valley, France. Fabrice’s great-grandfather owned three hectares of vine while his father took over in 1966. Fabrice joined the family domain in 1990, at the tender age of 21, after he had gained some experience in Bordeaux, Champagne and Burgundy. Fabrice works his 27 hectares of land biodynamically. His vines of Cabernet Franc, grown on gravelly and on sand-clay soils, benefit from a southern exposure. Fabrice also makes a rare and delicious white Chinon from Chenin Blanc grapes.
