To obtain this Barbera d’Alba Elio sacrificed a site of Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes to plant a vineyard of just 1,200 Barbera vines in 1996, to which are added 700 plants from the 1945 Surì Disa hill.
The wine is usually aged for 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels, and after bottling at least another 6 months in the bottle.
