Deep notes of ripe blackcurrant and cherries with hints of cocoa. Rich, spicy and intense with a medium to full body. Drink it with a rich meaty stew. If you have the patience, keep it in your cellar for a couple more years.

About the winemaker

Domaine Barmès Buecher is located in Wettolsheim, in the Alsace region, in north-east France. The domain was created in 1985 by Geneviève Barmès (née Buecher) and François Barmès with vineyards that had been in their families since the 17th century. Ten years later, they converted the domain’s 16 hectares to biodynamic viticulture. The children, Sophie and Maxime, joined the family business in 2011, following the sudden death of their father François. Nowadays, Genevieve, Sophie and Maxime produce red, white and sparkling wines, among the best in Alsace.
